Fifth Ownerpack trial HIP now in production

Author: Gary Horsley · Posted: April 17, 2007

The process of trial runs for Ownerpack HIPs continues with a fifth now being produced to support a sale in the area.

Keen to continue testing its operation in a number of ‘live’ situations, Ownerpack commenced work recently on its fifth HIP, the first four having already been completed and delivered to the relevant estate agents. Commissioned by Braintree agent Joscelyne Chase, the new trial exercise will offer an insight into what happens when a HIP has to deal with an unregistered property. According to Richard Harris, Head of the Property Department at Holmes & Hills – one of the solicitors behind the Ownerpack initiative – it is this sort of circumstance that will prove the worth of a HIP produced by property experts.

‘Most of the time the information required in the current HIP will slot into place with a little expert guidance. When there are problems you need depth of experience in the market as a whole, not just in HIP production, to ensure that the information is gathered quickly and efficiently. HIPs need to be both accurate and also timely, so that the property can get to the market, and the abaility to overcome problems without wasting time is essential’
