With so much negative news reaching the property market these days, it is time for something a little more positive for home owners and estate agents alike. Holmes & Hills and Steed & Steed and have agreed a conveyancing discount for all Ownerpack customers this summer.
The offer will work as follows:
It applies to all Ownerpack customers commissioning a HIP between July 1st and September 30th 2008.
These customers will receive a discount of £75.00 against the cost of conveyancing placed with Holmes & Hills or Steed & Steed at any time between July 1st 2008 and June 30th 2009.
Proof of eligibility for discount will be possession of an Ownerpack HIP, start date as above, at the time that the conveyancing is requested.
The discount will be applied to the final conveyancing settlement at the conclusion of the transaction.
All Ownerpack agents should mention this offer to clients when they place their HIP order, and then give them the contact numbers for Holmes & Hills and Steed & Steed. It will then be up to the client to take a decision on which of the two solicitors to use if they want discounted conveyancing. Of course, they can still decide to work with a different solicitor if they are happy forego the discount: Ownerpack does not oblige a home owner to work with a specific solicitor.
It seems that difficulties in the property market will persist a while yet and there is little most of us can do to change the larger picture. What we can do, though, is to work at the local level, bringing the benefits of local experience and local relationships to the people of our area. While a discount is not likely to make the difference between a decision to proceed or not with a sale, it will reinforce the idea that property professionals in this area understand the needs of local people and want to help in difficult times.
Footnote: we are pleased to announce that during June we commissioned the 500th Ownerpack HIP. We would like to offer our thanks to all of you who have worked with us in this initial phase of HIP operations.
