HIP extension in place

Following an announcement from the Government on August 17th, HIPs are now mandatory for all three-bedroom properties (in addition to the requirement for four-bedroom properties) from September 10th. This is in line with the stated policy of extending the requirement as sufficient Energy Assessors are certified and available to produce the Energy Performance Certificate needed for each pack.
It is anticipated that a further extension to two-bedroom homes will follow soon after and the rest of the housing market will be brought into the scheme by the end of the year.
